This Eulogy is written about Valerie by four of her grandchildren, Luke ~ Hannah ~ Jade ~ Lee.
Valerie was born in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire on the 1st June 1941. She has four brothers, Keith ~ Brian ~ Kenny ~ Barry. After growing up in Uttoxeter, she moved to London where she met our grandad Gerry. They married on 17th March 1965(St Patrick's day).
They had four sons, Steve ~ Michael ~ Paul ~ Kevin. They moved to Colindale in 1972 where Valerie worked in the Public Health Labs. Valerie worked there till she retired in 2006. Once she retired Gerry & Valerie moved to Northampton to enjoy retired life with her family.
Sadly, Valerie was taken ill and her life in Northampton was cut short due to her illness.Valerie was had her family near the end and Gerry was with her right to the end. Valerie & Gerry had 7 grandchildren; Luke 15 ~ Hannah 13 ~ Lee 13 ~ Jade 13 ~ Demi 7 ~ Louie 6 & Ava May 6mths. Steve is with Julie ~ Michael is Married to Brenda Parents to Hannah & Demi ~ Paul is Married to Paula Parents of Luke & Lee ~ Kevin is with Aileen Parents to Jade Louie & Ava May.
Luke ~ As her eldest grandson, I have very fond memories of my nan, like trips to Brighton, Going on holiday with her, visiting her all the time, a funny story I will always remember was her saying to us that "she would lock us in the shed with the spiders".
Hannah ~ My amazing grandma, Valerie was a brilliant grandma to me. She would take me on trips to the seaside and we would walk past souvenir shops and she would say 'We won't be going in there'. By the end of the trip, we would of been in there, a couple of times and she would of bought me something.. In my grandma's house, no one ever got hungry. Even if your full up, Grandma would be bringing in rolls, cakes, biscuits and all the sweets and chocolate from her cupboard in the kitchen.
Lee ~ as my nan's third oldest grandson,when every body who goes into her house before you can even sit down you will get ask for a drink or a roll, when you do say no thanks she will just keep on asking till you say yes. she will often says the
B's ~ F's ~ C's ~ D's and the S's as she never swore apart from saying S**T YOU.
Jade ~ as her second eldest Grandaughter ~ fourth eldest Grandchild, at her house we sat down at the table and played a game of card and it went on for hours,when there was a pile of cards nan sat there and scrathed the table to pick the cards up.

Miss You
We Miss in you so much, Can not believe you have been without us and us without you for a year. We had a mass for you on Saturday, im sure you was with us.
We had a laugh to back at Paul & my house had to get a picture of your boys they were all together.

Valerie last year today 7th October 2008 was the worst day of our lives,today we found out that you had 8 weeks to live, later that evening I found out my Dad had throat cancer.
You both tried your hardest to fight this cancer but sadly 8 weeks later you past away and 5 months later my Dad passed away.
Valerie I hope you are now at peace having a good time with my Dad.
Gerry is doing really well, as you new he would be well looked after by Steve Mick Paul Kevin there wives and the grand children.
